Kelli Neal is an independent filmmaker and 1st Assistant Director based in Los Angeles.
While growing up near Flint, Michigan, Kelli became involved in her community theater program, where she fell in love with telling stories. After earning her B.S. in Film Studies and attending the L.A. Film Studies Center, she went on to direct her short film ‘I’m A Girl’ which won five festival awards, including Best Family Drama and Best First Time Director. Her latest short romantic comedy film ‘Meet-cutes & Breakups’ was recently nominated for Best Actress.
As a 1st AD, she has been described as highly organized and skilled at solving problems on the fly. Along with her expertise in scheduling and managing different personality types, she brings her positive attitude and enthusiasm to every set.
Kelli is passionate about female-centric narratives and giving a voice to women in film.
